The Jonas Brothers at Weidner Field

Written by: Keyali Mikaela

The Jonas Brothers’ concert at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs was an unforgettable experience, despite the unexpected weather that cut the show short. As a longtime fan who's been following their journey since the early days, it felt like a full-circle moment to see them live again, bringing both nostalgia and excitement for their new music.

The anticipation was palpable as we made our way into the venue. An hour-long DJ set kicked things off, getting everyone in the mood with a mix of current hits and throwback tracks. The crowd was already buzzing when Tori Kelly took the stage. Her performance was stunning, showcasing her powerful vocals and setting the perfect tone for the main event. She sang her heart out, and you could feel the energy build with each song.

When the Jonas Brothers finally emerged, the stadium erupted in cheers. They opened with "Strangers," a track that instantly reignited my love for their music. From there, it was a whirlwind of hits, each song more electrifying than the last. They seamlessly blended their old classics with their new hits, making it a night to remember for fans of all ages.

Hearing "S.O.S." live brought back so many memories of my teenage years, screaming the lyrics with my friends at sleepovers. "When You Look Me in the Eyes" was another emotional moment, as the entire crowd sang along, creating a beautiful, unified chorus that echoed throughout the field. It felt like a tribute to the past, a reminder of why we fell in love with their music in the first place.

The setlist was a perfect mix of nostalgia and fresh energy:

1. Strangers

2. What a Man Gotta Do

3. That's Just the Way We Roll

4. S.O.S.

5. Hold On

6. Cool

7. Gotta Find You / Introducing Me

8. Play My Music

9. When You Look Me in the Eyes

10. Year 3000 (Busted cover)

11. Summer Baby

12. Waffle House

13. Close (Nick Jonas song)

14. Toothbrush (DNCE cover)

15. Jealous (Nick Jonas song)

16. Cake by the Ocean (DNCE cover)

17. Can't Take My Eyes Off You (Frankie Valli cover)

18. Lovebug

19. Leave Before You Love Me (Marshmello & Jonas Brothers cover)

The transitions between songs were flawless. Nick’s solo performances of "Close" and "Jealous" were highlights, showing his growth as an artist. Joe brought the party vibe with DNCE hits like "Toothbrush" and "Cake by the Ocean," which had everyone dancing and jumping along. Their cover of Frankie Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" was a sweet surprise, adding a touch of classic romance to the night.

Just as the momentum was building, the weather took a turn for the worse. You could feel the collective sigh of disappointment as the announcement came that the show had to end early. But even with the abrupt finish, the night was magical. The energy, the music, the connection between the band and the fans – it all made for an unforgettable evening.

For a longtime fan like me, it was more than just a concert. It was a reminder of the band's incredible journey and the way their music has been a soundtrack to so many of our lives. Despite the weather, the Jonas Brothers proved once again why they are so beloved. Their talent, charisma, and connection with their fans are unmatched. If you ever get the chance to see them live, don't hesitate. It's an experience that will stay with you long after the final note is played.
