NW: What's the weirdest thing that’s inspired a song?
Brynn: The first song I ever wrote in high school was about a fictional character - Anna Karenina. I wrote this character a letter through song so that’s pretty weird!
NW: Who’s an artist you've recently discovered?
Brynn: I love this question. A friend introduced me to this band Tow’rs, I think they are great!
NW: What’s the biggest thing you learned about yourself this year?
Brynn: That I enjoy trying new things!
NW: What's the strangest place you've ever written or recorded music?
Brynn: My bathroom floor.
NW: If you could collab with any artist right now, who would it be?
Brynn: Ed Sheeran- it will always be Ed Sheeran.
NW: What was your most-played song this year?
Brynn: Might Not Like Me
NW: What's a lyric from another artist that hits you hard every time?
Brynn: “Tension is to be loved when it is like a passing note to a beautiful, beautiful chord” - Sixpence None The Richer
NW: What song of yours do you feel most proud of?
Brynn: Right now Shiny Happy People. It’s a song I wrote by myself and it’s surreal to see it out in the world.
NW: Who’s the most unexpected artist on your playlist right now?
Brynn: The Choir of King’s College
NW: Do you have a favorite holiday movie?
Brynn: The Family Stone
NW: Are you more of a ‘decorate everything’ or ‘less is more’ type of person?
Brynn: I am a decorate everything but my husband is less is more so we have a happy medium going on! There’s decor but it’s not overwhelming.
NW: What's the coolest holiday decoration you've ever seen?
Brynn: I am really loving this dehydrated orange decor I’m seeing all over TikTok.
NW: Is there a city you’d love to spend the holidays in?
Brynn: Banff, Alberta Canada. It looks like a winter wonderland.
NW: If you could invite any musician to your holiday dinner, who would it be?
Brynn: Kelly Clarkson. I love her and her voice. I would love to hear here lead carols at my holiday dinner!
