“Fall Into Me” - Sylo’s Gentle Plea For Intimacy

Written by: Brianna Corrine

Sylo’s “Fall Into Me” is a smooth and intimate exploration of the intricate crevices of romance, with trust at the crux.

Complete with lightly sensual lyrics and a reggae undertone blended with the soul of R&B, “Fall Into Me” is an easy-to-listen-to tune that could fit comfortably beside Frank Ocean’s “Pink + White” and Holly Cook’s “Milk & Honey.” The slapping syncopated drum beats and gently cruising acoustic guitar generate a beautifully mixed atmosphere that ebbs and flows in perfect tandem with Sylo’s mesmerizing vocals.

On top of the stunning background and instrumental construction of the song, the lyricism, while simple, points to a comforting message about life and love and the importance of growing with one another in any relationship. All of this, paired with Sylo’s suave vocals that lightly soar into a pleasant head voice during the chorus and pop in and out with the occasional dreamy adlib towards the end of the track, is, at its core, breathtaking.

“My past will still catch up real soon, but know that I’m still good for you.”

As a whole, this song exudes warmth and effortlessly carries listeners on a journey through learning to love. It is the picture of a soft glow of orange in a dimly lit room that beckons listeners to fall into the welcoming embrace of Sylo, “Fall into me, baby, won’t let you go.”

If “Fall Into Me” is any indication of what we have to look forward to as the year continues and Sylo continues his trek through the music industry, then we are in for a treat.
