TWICE’s joyful time with ONCE at UBS Arena, Belmont Park, NY
Cold temperatures could stop anyone from going to work on a normal Wednesday, but ONCE did not fret: with sparkly makeup and phenomenal outfits (some DIY), they began heading to UBS Arena in Belmont Park, NY, where K-Pop girl group TWICE was holding their concert that night.
The LIRR to UBS Arena began being filled with fans around 3pm, where I could see people with the group’s lightstick, named CandyBong Infinity. This gave me the opportunity to interview a few people!
“It’s my first TWICE concert, so I am truly excited for which songs they will perform,” said Chiara Piacentini, a marketing college student, “and I hope their show will exceed my expectations.”
When we arrived at the UBS Arena stop, we got on a shuttle, and in less than 10 minutes, we reached the arena’s entrance. We quickly noticed security controlling the lines of the VIP package and normal GA. Fans were clearly excited to go in the venue and secure the spot closer to the stage!

As for me and my friends, we had seated 100s section tickets, and we had to wait for the doors to open. So, we walked into the venue’s restaurant/grill to order some food, which quickly filled up with fans in a matter of 30 minutes. After an hour of waiting, the venue made us line up and go inside to our seats. The venue was already filling up with fans singing TWICE’s songs, which were playing on the speakers. The stage was a 360 degree one, so it looked very wide and you could see EVERYTHING!
During the wait time till the beginning of the concert, I asked someone next to me which song she were expecting or hoping to hear most today:
“I am ecstatic to see my favorite member Sana’s solo performance,’ said Jovitha James, a masters psychology student, “and my favorite TWICE songs ‘One Spark’ and ‘I Got You.’”
Around 8:15 P.M., the lights shut down, and the crowd’s screams erupted throughout the venue, as TWICE began performing their first song of the night, their most recent single ‘This Is For’ from their album of the same name. The second song was their 2025 hit single ‘Strategy’, which fans were dancing in the seated sections in front of me. This was the beginning of Act I!
After performing these two songs, TWICE did a ment, which in K-Pop concerts means that they have a minute talk with the crowd to introduce each member of the group, with ONCE’s cheers. When they concluded the ment, the girls performed a mix of singles, such as ‘Set Me Free,’ ‘Can’t Stop Me,’ ‘Moonlight Sunrise,’ ‘I Got You,’ ‘The Feels,’ and ‘Cry For Me.’ Furthermore, they also entertained ONCE with some b-sides songs, such as ‘Make Me Go,’ ‘Options,’ ‘Mars’ (my favorite song), ‘Gone,’ ‘Hell In Heaven,’ and ‘Right Hand Girl,’ which featured some interactions with ONCE in the left/right stages. This was the conclusion of Acts I and II.
Act III included each member’s solo songs, from the most recent album ‘Ten: The Story Goes On,’ such as: ‘Dive In (Tzuyu)’, Stone Cold (Mina),’ ‘MEEEEEE (Nayeon)’, ‘Fix A Drink (Jeongyeon),’ ‘Shoot – Firecracker (Chaeyoung)’, ‘ATM (Jihyo)’, ‘Decaffeinated (Sana)’, ‘Move Like That (Momo)’. To conclude this section of the concert, Jihyo, Chaeyoung, and Jeongyeon, performed the hit song from Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters, ‘Takedown,’ which made everyone dance and jump.
Afterward, TWICE did a lightstick wave with ONCE, which all the crowd joyfully participated in, and they did a challenge of which section/side was shouting the most. It was really fun!!
Act IV was the one that had the most famous TWICE hit singles that made ONCE dance the choreographies in front of me: ‘Fancy,’ ‘Dance The Night Away,’ ‘What Is Love?,’ ‘Yes Or Yes,’ and ‘One Spark.’
To conclude, TWICE did an encore, with surprise fan-favorite song ‘Feel Special,’ and another fan-favorite single ‘Signal’ (after asking ONCE what other song they wanted them to perform, which generated a fun debate throughout the crowd, with ‘Signal’ winning).
Overall, it was a phenomenal concert, the girls were FANTASTIC!
Go see TWICE on their ‘This Is For’ tour if you haven’t yet, you won’t regret it!
