Internet Tears' "Feels Like Summer" Brings the Heat

Written By: Safaque Kagdi

Rising Connecticut-based indie pop band, Internet Tears, continues to charm their fans with their latest single, "Feels Like Summer," released under Black Barrel Records on Friday, July 12. Following the romantic vibes of their spring hit "I Want You," this new track dives deep into the thrilling emotions of new love, wrapped in the warmth and endless possibilities of summer.

The band comprises Daniel Louis on vocals, Zack Apuzzo on drums, Esteban Rivera shredding the guitar, and Mikey Feliciano holding down the bass. Together, they weave a tapestry of sound that echoes the best of pop-rock, synth-punk, and synthwave from the '80s and '90s. Their music is a nostalgic trip back to a time when neon lights and electric beats ruled the airwaves.

A Sonic Blend of Soft Rock and Punk

"Feels Like Summer" seamlessly blends soft rock and punk, giving the song a spark that grabs listeners from the very start. The impressive audio production features clean electric guitars with a classic Fender Stratocaster sound. The vocal harmonies are spot-on, enhancing the topline vocals beautifully.

The single's snare pick-up at the beginning leads smoothly into the chorus, which boasts a melody that sticks in your head and leaves you humming long after the song ends. The beauty of simple melodies shines through, making this track unforgettable. The mix is top-notch, blending all production elements perfectly.

A Visual Treat in Brooklyn

The music video, directed by the band's frontman Daniel Louis, was filmed in Brooklyn. It captures the radiant essence of the song through its setting and color palette. The use of 8mm film adds a vintage touch, evoking a sense of nostalgia. Shot mostly indoors with a warm, cozy setup, the visuals perfectly complement the audio and lyrics, making it a feel-good experience from start to finish.
